Are you looking at add elegance and charm to your work without overdoing it? Sometimes we simply need to pair it back, to create interest in a subtle, polished and refined manner. We have been searching the world (literally) for an aged metal sequin to enable you to do just this. Since seeing the grace and sophistication of a vintage Moroccan wedding blanket in my travels I have lusted over antique sequins. And after a very long search we now have them. 

An incredibly versatile product, metal sequins are habitually hoarded by jewellers to use in their detailed designs... but Fibre Artists are catching on! Perfect to sew into your woven works, to adorn your rainbow tops or to add a little embellishment to any traditional tapestry. I am thrilled to offer them in store, and cannot wait to see them in your work. We have tried to photograph them in light so you can see both the light and shade of these pieces, but honestly they are even so much better in real life. 

Due to the antique nature of the metal each sequin surface will vary, some may appear more aged than others. The patina creates a glistening aesthetic that you can remove this with products... or what most do is leave them outside to get more of it! I've been using them together to add a heightened sense of articulation of materials and story. Enjoy exploring them. A feature of our metal sequins is the charming 'clink' they create when two meet. Small in size, large in impact.

We have sourced TWO colours, Silver & Antique Brass Finish.
Each metal comes in SIX options. 12 options available across two finishes.
